I have had the really cool opportunity to hone my photography skills taking countless photos of our kids’ sporting events. I’ve shot softball, soccer, football, color guard, pole vault, baseball, and gymnastics. Usually I’m looking for those tack-sharp action shots that show how amazing the athlete is at their sport. Shots like this one of Sarah nailing her back handspring on the balance beam in the State meet on Saturday:

The Backstory Experience
Saturday’s State gymnastics meet was Sarah’s last meet on the Apex High School Cougars school team. The gym where it was held isn’t really conducive to getting killer action shots, so I decided to focus part of my attention in capturing the experience outside the action. I wanted to capture the seniors interacting with their coach and each other as part of the overall experience. Here are some of my favorites…
I did also get some action shots. You can see the entire album including those action shots on the Jeremy Davis Photography Gallery for the event.
Thanks to all our kids for letting me shoot their events. I thoroughly enjoy the whole process and loved capturing some of the story of this latest experience.
Capturing Moments
Of course I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this: My jam is portrait photography. I don’t think people take enough professional portraits to keep as cherished memories. That’s part of why I started Jeremy Davis Photography to offer quality professional portraiture that is also budget-friendly. Capture those moments. Create keepsake memories. Hit me up for a family or head shot photography session today.
