Making Memories

Heather and I had the wonderful opportunity to take family portraits of a relatively newly-blended family. We shot in Raleigh, NC and had a wonderful spring day for a photo shoot. As I was post-processing the results I knew I was going to love this image.

This image above of Edwin and his little girl just makes me smile. I have 3 daughters of my own, and I so wish I had portraits like this with them. I also wish I had ones from when I was little with my mom and dad, but I don’t. This reminded me to keep banging the drum of:

Take family pictures!

Of course I have a vested interested if you hired Jeremy Davis Photography for photo shoots. But this holds true for your own pictures. Phones can take amazing shots (explore the “Portrait” setting) as well. The key is loving each other, and capturing that connection in photos that can last a lifetime.

I would also encourage you to take one more step and have nice prints made of your particularly great images. Having something on a coffee table either in a framed print or displayed via a smart frame like this one is a wonderful way to have a constant reminder of the connection with your kids and family.

We got a number of portraits of Edwin, Angela, and their combined 5 kids last weekend. These are among my favorites.
